A two part race, the first of which was being won by Jorge Lorenzo until a multi-bike crash took out several riders and resulted with Randy de Puniet suffering a reported broken leg.
Colin Edwards rode off in the gravel early on resulting in a DNF.
Rossi was nearly able to finish on the podium in the shortened race but was passed for the final box position in the final corner by Casey Stoner.

This race was pretty sweet with the crashing, fire, red flag, last minute tweeks for the re-start, broken leg, and battles between Jorge/Pedrosa and Rossi/Stoner.

its gonna make laguna a little more interesting....maybe we will see the stoner rossi battle again. ....rumors are roger hayden is going to replace RDP for laguna.

U know damn skippy we haven't seen the end of the Rossi/Stoner battle. It never wouldn't of went down like that if he was a 100%. Just shows that he is still the freakin man and not willing to back down when it's on and crackin. Made props to Rossi Laguna will for sure be very interesting and exciting to watch.
